PRAYER GUIDE FOR 2024 CONGRESS
Exodus 40:34-38 (KJV)
34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
38 For the cloud of the Lord was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the Tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
Preamble
We have been having Holy Ghost Congresses, but the theme for this year’s edition is unique. “Onward Christian Soldier” as given to our Father in the Lord. Pastor E.A. Adeboye. There is no doubt that God is about to do unique things in our lives, in our families, in His church and our nation. From the above passage, the uniqueness of the Lord’s doing in the lives of His army has to do with His glory and His abiding presence, as we can see by the symbol of fire and the cloud in the onward journey of Israelites on their way to destiny. Therefore let us be expectant of great manifestation of glory in this year’s Holy Ghost Congress as we use this prayer guide through the period of fasting.

DAY 5: STANDING UPRIGHT IN VICTORY
BIBLE TEXT: Psalms 20:8, 16:6
INTRODUCTION: Life is a battle. As children of Light, we often find ourselves in battle against forces of darkness, however, there are assurances in the scripture that as long as we remain in the light, we are winners all the time. May these prayers, grounded in God’s Word, strengthen our faith and equip us to stand upright in victory over all enemies in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER POINTS
- Father, we thank You for assured victory, by delivering us from the hands of all our enemies in Jesus’ name Psalm 34:17
- Father, strengthen us to stand upright in the face of our enemies, always trusting in Your power for victory in Jesus’ name. Isaiah 40:31
- Father, cover us with Your protection so that no weapon formed against us shall prosper in Jesus’ name. Isaiah 54:17
- Father, strengthen our faith in the truth over all adversaries in Jesus’ name. 1 John 5:4
- Father, go before us in every battle and let Your presence bring us victory in Jesus’ name. Exodus 14:14
- Father, help us stand upright in righteousness so that our enemies will not have a foothold in our lives in Jesus’ name. Proverbs 10:30
- Father, remove all fear from hearts and grant us the courage to face our enemies with boldness in Jesus’ name. 2 Timothy 1:7
- Father, guide our steps so that we may walk in victory and not be shaken by the plans of our enemies in Jesus’ name. Psalm 37:23

- Father, empower us to triumph over all evil and to stand as a testimony of Your goodness in Jesus’ name. Romans 12:21

DAY 4: PRAYERS FOR THE 2024 HOLY GHOST CONGRESS
TEXT: Luke 5:17, Psalm 24:1-2, Matthew 14:14
INTRODUCTION: Let us pray ahead of the soon coming Holy Ghost Congress with the theme “Onward Christian Soldier.”
- Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me. Bless His Holy name. Psalm 103: 1
- Thank God for a new day and the salvation of your soul.
- Father, we thank You for all the past annual Holy Ghost Congress in Jesus name.
- Father, we thank you for the success and the glory revealed in the past annual Holy Ghost Congress in Jesus’ name.
- Father, we thank You for the anointing released upon Daddy GO and all other officiating ministers in the past annual Holy Ghost Congress.
- Father, we thank you for the unprecedented number of souls won during the past annual Holy Ghost Congress.
- Father, we thank You for all the unusual miracles done in the past and that which will be done this time around Deuteronomy 11:3; John 6:2
- Father, we pray for forgiveness of all our sins that may hinder the move of the Holy Spirit in this year’s Holy Ghost Congress in Jesus’ name Psalm 79:9
- Father, divinely supply all our needs for the Holy Ghost Congress in abundance in Jesus’ name Philippians 4:19
- Father, deliver every captive of the mighty in this year’s annual Holy Ghost Congress. Isaiah 49:24-26.
- Father, as Christian Soldiers; let us and our nations experience onward movement after the Holy Ghost Congress Psalm 126:1-6.

- Father, we decree against every power, principality and blood-sucking demon causing accidents and delays on our roads in Jesus’ name

DAY 3: PRAYER FOR LEADERS

INTRODUCTION:
We are commanded by the scripture to always pray for our leaders. When we
pray, God has promised that He will not suffer their foot to be moved because
he that keepeth Israel neither slumber nor sleep. Hence, let us pray for our
Fathers in faith.
PART 1; DADDY G. O. AND FAMILY
PRAYER POINTS:
- Father, thank you for your beloved son, Pastor Enoch, Adejare Adeboye, and your call upon his life in Jesus’ name.
- Father, thank you for enabling your son to enter into a great covenant with you, in Jesus’ name. Exodus 23:25
- Father, thank you for anointing him so powerfully and making him a blessing to this generation in Jesus’ name. Psalm 89:20.
- Father, thank you for using him to spread the gospel through your Church, RCCG to over 187 countries in the world in Jesus’ name. Matthew 28:19-20.
- Father, thank you for your divine protection and provision over Pastor E.A. Adeboye and his family in Jesus’ name. Psalm 89:23
- Father, please let your son Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and Pastor. Mrs. Folu Adeboye finish well and strong in Jesus’ name. 2 Timothy 4:7
- Father, please continue to strengthen him and empower him for the task ahead in Jesus’ name. Isaiah 40:31.
- Father, never let any of your words in the mouth of your son Pastor E. A. Adeboye fall to the ground in Jesus’ name, 1 Samuel 3:19

PRAYER POINTS:
- Thank God for the lives of all our leaders in RCCG at all levels in all Nations.
- Let us thank God for the wisdom the Lord has granted our leaders in the running of the Church worldwide.
- Ask God to be merciful unto us and our leaders in any area that we have fallen short of His glory in Jesus’ name. Proverbs 28:13
- Father, let our Leaders always be examples of wisdom, victory and the power of God. Grant them victory and power to speak God’s word with boldness.
- Father; let your counsel concerning our leaders be established in their lives and family in Jesus’ name.
- Take premature death, sickness, diseases, and infirmities away from them and from all your ministers and church workers in Jesus’ name. Deuteronomy 7:15,

DAY 2. MERCY AND FORGIVENESS
BIBLE TEXT(S): Psalm 51:1-end, Habrews 3:2
INTRODUCTION: Man, though created in God’s image fell and lost smooth fellowship
with God. God sent His only son, Jesus Christ to pay the price for the sin of man through His mercy, therefore as many that will confess and forsake their sins, the Lord is ready to forgive by His mercy. It is time to cry to God for mercy and forgiveness.
PRAYER POINTS:
- Father, stretch forth your hands of mercy and forgive me all my past errors in Jesus’ name.Psalm51:1.
- Father, let mercy reign over judgment in my life, in Jesus’ name. James 2:13
- Father have mercy on me and forgive me my iniquities, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 51:1-3
- Father let your goodness and mercies follow me all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 23:6
- Father, hear the voice of my plea for your mercy, in Jesus’ name. Psalm 28:2
- Father, at every location I have lost your mercy, please Lord forgive me and restore your mercy back into my life in Jesus’ name. Psalm 51:12

DAY 1; GRATEFUL HEARTS [SACRIFICE OF THANKSGIVING]
BIBLE TEXT: Leviticus 22:29
INTRODUCTION: A grateful heart that offers sacrifices of thanksgiving acknowledges God’s blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. It approaches God with humility, joy, and faith, obeys His commands, and offers sacrificial worship. It is a heart that overflows with love for God, expressed in word and action.

- Father, we are grateful for the gift of life and breathe each day in Jesus’ name. Psalm 150:6

- Father, thank You for forgiving our sins and washing us clean through Your grace and mercy in Jesus’ name. 1 John 1:9
- Father, thank You, for protecting us from harm. We take refuge under Your mighty wings in Jesus’ name. Psalm 91:1
- Father, we are thankful for the blessing of family and friends. May we love them as You have loved us in Jesus’ name. 1 Peter 4:8
- Father, we offer our thanks for the joy of Your presence that fills our hearts, homes with gladness in Jesus’ name. Psalm 16:11
- Father, thank You, for the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Our hearts overflow with gratitude. 1 John 5:11
